Public Education

Arkansas must invest more in early childhood development, especially in Pre-K. Investing in our children today leads to significant dividends in their future.  As State Representative, I’ll fight for public school funding and work to ensure that our teachers receive the support they need to educate our children.

Healthcare

Every Arkansan deserves access to affordable healthcare. I am disappointed in Arkansas’s recent, and heartless, purging of the Medicaid rolls which directly hurts people in our district. As State Representative, I’ll fight to get those Medical eligible back on the rolls because a healthy populace benefits us all.

We also must support rural hospitals and clinics because they are on the frontlines of providing healthcare to countless Arkansans.

Good Wages & Small Businesses

Arkansas families deserve all the support they can get, which is why I support targeted tax cuts for working families to help them keep more of their hard-earned money.

As a small business owner, I know firsthand how state government can help companies and their employees. Arkansas must do more to promote entrepreneurship and help create an environment that nurtures economic growth at the local level. When small businesses succeed, the community succeeds with good-paying jobs and economic growth.

Criminal Justice Reform

Arkansas must increase focus on policies that help rehabilitate those convicted of non-violent crimes to help reduce our high recidivism rates. These policies need not detract from keeping Arkansas families safe from crime. As State Representative, I’ll also fight to ensure that our justice system is fair to everyone.

End Food Insecurity

Arkansas ranks as one of the worst states in the country when it comes to food insecurity. Sadly, we also have too many “food deserts” where Arkansans must drive long distances for healthy and nutritious food. This is unacceptable in a nation as wealthy as ours.

As State Representative, I’ll work to increase funding for programs that help struggling families put fresh and healthy food on their tables.

Too many Arkansas families do not have enough to eat, or what they do have is often unhealthy and not nutritious. In a country as wealthy as ours it is inexcusable that anyone should go hungry.  Arkansas should expand assistance to food pantries
